Berkeley Homes Urban Renaissance has completed the purchase of the London residential development at the former Atkinson Morley Hospital site on Copse Hill, Wimbledon, SW20, from Laguna Quays. The residential developer agreed terms with Laguna Quays to buy and redevelop the extensive site which includes the historic former hospital and associated grounds. The 25-acre site has planning permission for the development of a 94 residential development of flats and houses.
Angus Michie, managing director of Berkeley Homes Urban Renaissance, said: "We are delighted to have completed the unconditional purchase of the Former Atkinson Morley Hospital residential development London.
"We intend to deliver a high-quality residential development of the site. "We will be undertaking extensive consultation with local residents, stakeholders and the London borough of Merton in due course to ensure the residential development of the site is appropriate for the local area."

Berkeley Homes was unrepresented in the purchase.
